I'm comparing the current gen 330d with the previous 530d. I know the 2017 onwards 530d is more like the old 535, with astronomical figures.

I believe the figures for 330/530 are the same engine are they not? Is there any real difference?

The F30 330d and the F10 530d have the same N57 engine.

The F10 ended in 2016. A 2017 530d will be a G30 and have a B57, a 2017 330d will have an N57.

I think he knows that - which is why he said 'current 330d' (ie, F30') and 'previous 530d' (ie, F10). I took his comment about the 2017 onwards 530d to mean he thinks the new engine is so good it's almost as quick as an old 35d smile

Yeah, basically all that. If i could afford the new 530d, i'd have 2.
