E53 glow plugs location

Hi I'm looking for the Heather plugs on my x5 e53 2003 model but don't know where to find them can anyone help

Afraid I have no pics. If you do a Google search for M57 glow plug replacement you should find a guide.

If you really are a novice my advice would be not to bother. The manifold isn’t that difficult but the glow plugs can turn into a right mess and you may require a few tools. I’ve managed to change all 6 of mine without any drama but there are horror stories of glow plugs snapping! There’s an old school method of checking whether the glow plugs are functioning. The glow plug controller is a weak spot on my generation anyway (2007 e60 535d). It can indicate problems and suggest dud plugs when it is the culprit. Google the plug check
