Multi function Display fault?

I have a 14 plate 530d which I bought in Nov (approved used). It has a couple of options, including the MFD replacement dash.

Driving home last night I noticed a load of the graphics were missing - I still had speedo, rev counter etc but none of the extra stuff - real time mpg, Sat nav directions etc. When I turned the engine off and back on it all reappeared and seems ok since.

Is that likely to be the start of something failing, or have I inadvertently hit a setting somewhere? If it's a fault, I assume it should be covered under the used warranty?
