Seen a DPF cleaning service offered by some garages and tuning folk (even halfords) as a means of lengthening DPF life span.
Anyone had any experience with this type of thing.

I’ve used Dpf clean team. Great job-just don’t forget to fix why it was blocked too.

No problem as such. Just wanted to keep on top of things. 8 year old car with 170k. Dpf coming up with limited mileage caution that's all.
If I can get another year or so via the cleaning rather than get a hefty bill to replace that is a no brainer.
I was trying to have peoples opinions as to weather it works or not.
Online reviews seem favourable

I drive mainly motorway miles. Around 18k year motorway miles. Liqui Moly dpf cleaner every 5k miles. Checked the ash level recently with carly bmw and it was less than 14%. Not bad for 56k miles on the clock. I can’t put it down to the cleaner alone though as passive regeneration is taking place. A longer trip at least once a month helps. I even contacted terra clean and they told me there was no point unless it was showing a light.
