If you mean in regards to warranty? Then you can use whoever you want as long as they can prove genuine items were used and the BMW installation process was followed.

If you mean in regards to work carried out while under finance agreement, I would have thought the above applies too. But I’ll confirm (work at a BMW retailer).

If you can’t use your Indy why not consider a service pack , try and get it thrown in as part of the deal then it’s all covered.

Super_G: Are you planning on keeping the car? (i.e paying the final purchase fee at the end of the PCP), or are you considering continuing the PCP on another car?, or handing the car back at the end of the PCP?

Part of the PCP agreement includes a GFV (Guaranteed Future Value) for the vehicle - An agreed amount concerning the minimum that the vehicle will be worth at the end of the PCP contract.

This is based on the agreed annual mileage, the condition of the car, and the car having a full dealer service history.

Exceeding the agreed mileage, having damage to the car, or the lack of a main dealer service history will all have an effect on the perceived value of the car at the end of the PCP.

If you're keeping the car, that becomes your problem, and you still have to pay the pre-agreed final purchase price.

If you're continuing the PCP contract on another car, or just handing it back, the finance company will deem the final value of the car to have been adversely affected by the lack of dealer history, and will charge you an additional amount to cover the loss in value, so you would need to find out how much extra it would cost you.

Thinking about the new G30 and finance might be the only option. Yes, I know PCP is a mugs game but moving on... can you use an independent specialist for work or does it have to be a BMW main/franchise dealer? Thanks
If the car is new, any work done (other than service) surely will be warranty based? Why would you not use a dealer, take the courtesy car and drink their coffee?
