Looking to order the parts for both front and rear brake pads & discs in my BMW 1-Series

Could anyone advise on all the parts I’ll need to order? Including sensors? As well as whether the thickness and other dimensions of the pads need to match on the front and the rear? And whether there are correct sensors or if any will be fine?

I am currently using eurocar and have entered my reg but multiple options come up for the same part, hence the confusion!

Thanks in advance...

Scotty

I don't think it matters if you are ordering them from Euro, IME they will send you the wrong parts anyway.

Seriously though why not call in at your local independant parts shop and they will help you decide what you need.

Look up the part sizes on real oem. You need one front pad sensor and one rear. Gen BMW are best. Euros/CP4LESS have had some delays in orders since their warehouse move.

Thanks both for your response. Just looking for the simplest/most cost effective way to ensure the car is safe and running, not necessarily optimised... any suggestions or advice on whether dimension e.g. thickness etc matters?

Yes dimensions matter. If they are wrong the brake pads/discs won’t fit!

Even after I put my regards in to generate the right parts? I’ve had one person say that any of the parts that’s then presented will fit... I just wanted to check because 2 options will come up for the same part

what model of 1 series do you have? Engine size, model year and trim level?

Go to http://www.realoem.com/ and find your car, this will give you the disc size you need. You can then cross check that against what ECP etc pull up.

300mm disc front and rear by the looks of it.

Rear ones are slighty different to account of the handbrake shoes.

bottom two links will give you the sensor product codes.

you just need one front and one rear.

To be honest, I didn't change mine as the contact hadn't been broken.
