Trouble connecting phone with car.

Hi Guys.

A Friend has a 14 plate 320 diesel estate M Sport. Similar to mine.

When i connected my phone to my car all was good, phone calls through it, music played from phone through car speakers, happy days.

But, my friend cannot get as far as connecting phone to be able to play music from phone through car speakers. Making calls and receiving calls is all good, as phone car recognises phone when connecting for that purpose. When they go into CD/Multimedia part, the phone will not come up or be recognised at all.

What is happening, it was so straight forward with my car, a 13 plate 328 estate.

Any help would be good please.

Until late 14 I think bluetooth streaming wasn’t standard - so it’s possible the car doesn’t have it

Just seen how to do it on you tube, different to how i done it with my car. My car is a 13 plate that has it.
