E46 cab SMG + sub frame specialist

Dear trusted chaps,

I’ve got an E46 M3 that needs the box and the subframe looking at.

I’m based in Nottingham and have tried a local specialist who was too busy to be of any use.

Can anyone recommend a good specialist in the midlands area? I don’t mind forking out what is needed if a fix is needed - I just want someone I can trust to look at my chariot.

If you want the 'creme de la creme' Rear Axle Carrier Panel fix, then Redish will be your people, albeit they are in Bristol. They do have a wait on however and are the most expensive at £1.5k.

Your other choices that I know of include:

Tegiwa Imports in Burton on Trent; Probably the closest to you
Dynotorque in Redditch: They are meant to be very good here.
Aaron Reeve in Kings Lynn; They seem to hold a similar reputation to Redish for a variety of things.

There are others like ETA Motorsport; they did mine for £800 and Autobahn Servicing but I suspect they will be too far away.

I do have one further bit of advice. Change your subframe bushes when you are there.

I went to SuperPro poly bushes and it transformed the drive of my car.

Buy the reddish plate set yourself then get somewhere near you to fit them.

Had mine done at deutsch-tec in Milton Keynes. They do them routinely.

Wherever you go, get them to take pics and document the work.

The plates are easy to put in. Looking for the popped spot welds is what I’d want someone to do in addition to cracks near the inner arch area.
