Discussion
Father in law has recently purchased a 2011 E93 with the CIC display (if this makes any difference?) I've tried to connect with multiple obd readers and can't get them to communicate.
Stripped the interior trim back and it looks like someone has rewired the port so a pin switching adaptor has to be used. Does anyone have access to the wiring diagrams or a photo of what colour wire goes where please?

I think you need this (as a starter for 10 if nothing else)

It would though be worth a trip to BMW, as this generation were ripe ( I think) for being stolen via a key being coded through the ODB socket (See http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... - in summary the intrusion detection range in the alarm didnt reach the ODB port in RH drive cars) - and this may be how this was prevented

Thanks for the link. Swapped two pins over and everything is now talking. I've tucked the port up behind the trim panel for now. Cheers again. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e93-330i-cab/wi...
