Hi all,

Another query, if you don’t mind.

Same car (06 650i), and it has no front or centre undertray. They both cracked when I caught them reversing off a drive, so took them off.

A bit of googling suggests that it’s generally fine to run a car without an undertray, but not all cars are as complex as these (dynamic drive and a load of vulnerable looking pipework under there)

What’s the consensus?

Cheers

Fine for short term especially as it's generally dry but I'd be getting one ordered.

My E46 had the front one missing when I bought it,

I’d often run through puddles then hear the belts squealing like a 1980’s Ford because they’d been doused in water,

Also when I did finally get one off eBay the difference in wind noise on the motorway was noticeable. I.e. it was quieter.

On some vehicles it can affect engine temps too, without running cooler than optimum.
