Buying a 2014 320d M Sport with 43,000 on the clock. I will be the 3rd owner.
Is the warrenty transferable or maintenance? I've read you're covered up to 50k?
Also if not how much should I expect to pay for the warrenty plans/service plans?
Thanks
Manufacturer's warranty is 3 years so will have elapsed. Is the warrenty transferable or maintenance? I've read you're covered up to 50k?

If the private seller has bought a BMW Insured warranty (annual policy) then this can be easily transferred, their booklet with have a form.
There is a way of "taking over" monthly warranty policies, so that might apply?
I seem to recall there were service packs , for 5 years or 50k in which case, yes, transferrable.
You can put the reg. into bmw service website and it will tell you.
similarly if you want to know costs for BMW insured warranty, reg into their website will provide you with it.
Not sure of costs of all service items, if BMW site doesn't say and no one here has similar car, call for quotes would be my advice.
A service pack would theoretically be transferable but given the mileage, it’s probably had its second service and won’t need a third within the timeframe of the agreement.
It might get a brake fluid change, if it’s not yet reached 4yo but if that’s also been done, there’s probably little benefit in it.

The BMW Mondial warranty isn't transferable as far as I'm aware and I can't answer about extended warranty from BMW (different products iirc)
The mondial one for a 2014 car with sub 50k will be anywhere from £30pm to £50pm depending on level of cover and excess amount.
The top level warranty for my 2009 325d is £58 per month. Im on 95k miles. The mondial one for a 2014 car with sub 50k will be anywhere from £30pm to £50pm depending on level of cover and excess amount.
Very reasonable I think considering its very comprehensive.
Should be a fair bit less on a 2014 and 50k miles?

Before 60k it is quite cheap, after 60k it takes a fairly substantial price hike and newer cars are a bit cheaper iirc due to newer parts.
