Looking for some advice. I’ve noticed a dent in my interior back door. Not sure if it’s leather or plastic look a like leather. Is there anything I can do to help reduce the appearance? Or anyone know how much BMW will cost to fix it? Think something has been pushed into it frown gutted!

Thanks in advance

BMW will just want to sell you a new trim piece.

Try a local dent fix man, might be able to do something cheaper.

That isn't a dent it is a tear in the trim.

You will need to take it to a car trimmer/upholsterer they can repair it but it takes a bit of time & although cheaper than replacement, due to it being a highly specialised process isn't cheap in itself.

I once carried out a similar repair using silicone that was a close enough match in colour & whilst it was drying giving it a texture with a small brush, it ended up virtually invisible but that was a cheap car, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

I’d buy a used door trim panel and fit that.

That can be smart repaired. Not sure where you're based, but one I use through my work (leather refinishing) is Auto Trim in Leicester.

I'd just keep an eye on ebay for a replacement. The door cards are not hard to get off.
