Nice work!

I found my E85 stupendously useful and able to do much beyond its outward appearance.

Roof down and passenger seat back/down and you could fit in stuff that wouldn’t even fit in an estate car!

E86 without a foldy roof makes the interior useless for anything big (including tall or fat humans)

That's a relief - I don't want tall or fat humans in my E86 thanks! laugh

Equally easy to put the frame in the passenger seat and the wheels in the boot.

Basically the Coupe is less practical than the Roadster because there is a roof in the way.

Well only until the drowned roof motor fails, then the E85 isn't quite so accommodating! laugh

Nonsense.

The E86 has a surprisingly useful boot capacity. And with the cover retracted, long items can go into the passenger compartment.

Sticks.

Some of us are still on the original motor (famous last words....) biggrin

So if the Z4 is practical, my TT is an estate then!

Note table behind chairs. Fitted a fridge in on another occasion.

At which point you get the motor fixed, no?

Yes, but a temporary inconvenience and way off topic.

Or just clean your drains. I had my car 9 years and did them about 3 times.
Stored outside all year.

I think some people must really neglect their drains for them to block shirley?

I guess there's a number of factors. I doubt some people even know about the issue and it would be a minority who actually clean them. Pretty st bit of work by BMW really, especially when you consider how neatly it tucks into the recess in the boot.

Sticks.

Not so easy to get to, even if you're aware of the issue.

Yeah I do think bmw (and most manufacturers) skimp in these checks as part of servicing.

Ie, corrosion warranty is subject to them checking the car at servicing but it’s clear they never do.

If they did, and were pro active, maybe people would stick with main dealers longer... but while they just ignore long term care servicing they’re useless imo.

But did you ever fit fully grown people in the rear seats of your TT?

Worked just fine in my E46 325ti Sport!
