I know, not the most rock & roll topic ever, but with the F10 530d about to embark on a 20000 mile a year commuting binge I thought I pop some mudflaps on to keep the flanks a bit less ruined than they could be.

BMW state that M-Sport cars can't have mud flaps. so I ordered some for an SE (using the reg plate of my 2010 530d) and they fit perfectly, no issues or modifications whatsoever.

1 hour job at home, with the instructions downloaded on .pdf from bimmerfest*

  • other BMW web pages are available
So in short, BMW are wrong, they fit.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, any photos? From my recall, they look quite neat and small. Are they effective?

They are neat & small and worked a treat on my F10 530d SE which is why I wanted them on the new one.

On the 530d SE, had about 95000 on the clock at this point.

On the Carbon Black M-Sport.

Putting your VIN in allows you to view accessories. I can get mudflaps for our E70 M-Sport with 20" staggered wheels, there should be M-Sport mudflaps as well for other cars.

Real OEM is a very useful resource, but it it not model specific. So for instance if I put in my old 635CSi's chassis number it gives me the option of 2.8, 3.5 or M engines as possible available parts.

Main Agents will not sanction the fit of mud flaps to an M-Sport F10/F11, and when I enquired at Westerly Bridgwater was told that they did not fit the M-Sport.
I bought some anyway and tried them, they fit, just passing on my experience.
