06 330D E91 Diversity antenna question.

Loom fixed, fob battery replaced.
So is probably going to be diversity antenna.
HOWEVER upon inspecting my old unit I noticed there was only one ribbon cable.
In the black connector and attached to the spoiler.
There was no ribbon cable in the purple connector that goes into the rear screen.
Every picture and video ive seen there is.
Looking at the pins in the purple connector however it looks as though they has never been one.
Also there is no void for which the cable to attached to the rear screen?
Could this missing ribbon cable be the possible cause of my key fob opening/locking my doors?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I had this issue on my 2006 E91 but it was the wiring to the boot that was faulty, this is a pic of the module and it's connections, does it look similar?

As I say I have have had the loom fixed. 3 severed wires.
Now soldered, heatshrank and wrapped.

That pic is identical apart from I do not have the pink ribbon connector on the right, just the the white ribbon connector attached to the spoiler.
So my question is
What is the pink ribbon purpose?
Is the central locking antenna actually in the amp or in the rear screen?
