Looking to sort a wheel alignment out on my z4 coupe, Coming upon conflicting information about the ballast procedure alot of bmw's have.
BMW specify weight added to driver and passenger seat and to the boot.
Some dont bother with any weight and have adjustments with car empty and lots of garages seem to do this and dont have any weights to add to the car anyway.
some conflicting information on why the weight is added, I thought it would be to represent a tradtional load on suspension for passengers etc, others state that bmw use it to get various models to a base spec to make adjustments from.
It seems to make a fair difference on camber whether weight is added or not.
