E61 520d Angel Eye will not stay on

My drivers side angel eye is dead. If i disconnect the battery and reconnect it will stay on for a short while or until I start the car. I have tried switching the bulbs from the passenger side and still will not stay on. Passenger side is always fine. Standard BMW looking bulbs in the car. 2007 car (LCI) if that makes any difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

I had issues with my n/s Angel eye on an F11. Caused by the cover falling off the light allowing water in. It dried out but became intermittent and died. replacement of the control circuit board (£300+ from BMW) second hand from ebay sorted. I got the old board back and the contacts are awful so I'd check you control board and the connector first.

In case this ever gets searched for, it turned out someone had put a 21w bulb in the bulb holder rather than the standard 10w. This as a result was being shut off by the car as it is too highly rated! Simply easy answer in the end.
