Will be replacing the shocks on my car soon, only with standard ones. Are these worth fitting and are any better than the others?

Not quite sure of your question. You can fit gen BMW front top mount reinforcement plates. They are standard on the 330d. You can fit Z3 rear top mount reinforcement plates.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear...

Been reading about suspension / upgrades and most people seem to think it’s worth fitting the re-inforcement plates that can be bought from various places. Or just ring BMW and ask for the genuine items you suggested? Thanks

Improved the feel of my front end no end. I had mushroomed turrets so i used a brick to flatten em down first.

Where did you get them from?

The brick or the plates? (hehe)

Got mine from cotswold bmw. Cheap enough, under 30 quid delivered IIRC but it was some time ago.

Easy to fit too: dropped the top mount bolts and the plate can be inserted over the top. Bit of a fiddle but that's how I did it.
