BMW variable servicing limits?

we are going to France in the missus 435d next week. She said there is a light on the dash so I check and it say service due in 1300miles! Great....its 700 miles each way so thats bust already! The car is only on 13,000, will be 2 years old mid Sept (on lease from BMW alphabet)

Im presuming we cant get it booked in with a days notice, so whats the deal with variable servicing? In the old days it was 12000 miles give or take a few...

Book it in for when you get back? It won’t blow up.....

I asked my local this question and the reply was I had about 1000 miles after the due miles before they'd get twitchy so you have up to 2300 to play with

Chances are you won’t get it booked in the next day. Often a few weeks wait at main dealers for most things

That will be the 2 year limit, rather than mileage limit. My 335d is on about 20k miles and about 21 months old, at the moment it indicates 22k or Nov 2018.

You could well find that the longer journeys actually extend the 1,300 miles in reality anyway. I’d book it in now for when you return if it was me!
