Hi all

I’m considering a 5 series touring in black with cognac leather.

Unfortunately, it’s at a BMW dealer some distance away, so I can’t physically view it.

They have sent me a video though

The cognac looks lovely on the configuration but seems quite orange in the vid

To those who have it, is it more light brown or orange? wobble

It'll appear different to different people as everyone has different eyesight - however one thing I did notice with BMW now is that with sun protection glass, dark interior colours make the back seats a really gloomy place to sit (a black interior makes it feel like sitting in a morgue). Mine's sapphire black and I deliberately went with oyster to lighten the cabin.

This video shows the cognac leather in a natural light well. The dealership video if done inside may give you a false idea.

Go for it! will lift the cabin really nicely and it's good to be different.

I just bought a car remotely, was nervous about it but delighted when it arrived.

I take delivery of my BMW 225d Convertible in a month, black with cognac leather (with dark wood trim obviously) ... having seen that video i can't wait!!

It does look more orange than on the online configuration but i think i prefer it.

I went for the Cognac. It lightens the interior compared to the black or dark blue but it's much more practical than the ivory. I think it also doesn't get quite so hot to the touch as the darker colours. Each to their own though...
