F11 H/K sound vs standard UK hi fi?

After a little advice, I'm thinking of upsizing the 330d to either a 535d or 535i.
I do use the panoramic sunroof on my car a lot, and have it open pretty frequently - and with small people in the back it's nice for them to not feel so hemmed in. The other plus point is the Harmon Kardon sound system... I think it's pretty good and does make for some decent audio.
So, if I do these are the two I'd like to keep but then I've seen a couple of well-specced cars just without the H/K. Obviously, retrofitting the sunroof is basically impossible, however, adding in some better speakers is within the realms of plausibility.
The question is, if I added the front focals and the sub would this be as good as the H/K setup? Obviously, most comments are the improvement over standard but not if it's up to speed with the factory H/K. Also, can you upgrade the rears?
Advice appreciated as I'm not in a desperate hurry so can wait for the right spec to come along!

I can't add much other than commenting that the standard kit is rubbish. I have an F11 535i, well optioned with pro nav, memory seats etc... but standard hifi, and its really rather poor. I wish I had been able to get a car with H/K but its hard enough to find an F11 535i for sale to begin with!

I'm just about happy with the Professional HiFi in my current F11, but previously I had the Basic Version in an E70 and it was woeful. Ended up taking it to AudioFile in Bishops Stortford and having it fettled there. 1.2k later and it sounded immense. I would now never seek out a car based upon its audio options but instead take the car straight to Gary. I keep intending to get the F11 done but an expensive divorce and the fact that the pro audio is way better than standard means it's not likely to be fettled. Next car for sure though.
