Reversing sensor linked to a wing mirror adjustment issue?

Is this possible? I only have 2 snags on my E46 330Ci.

First, on occasion (25-35% of the time) when selecting reverse the parking sensors give me a constant tone until moving back in to neutral.

Second, the near side mirror no longer dips when reverse is selected (selector switch set to nearside) and will not move when i move the controller. When the selector switch is set to off side (drivers) i can move the drivers mirror using the controller but when i do the near side mirror also moves. The odd bit is that when i move the drivers mirror up or down the nearside moves left and right instead (and vice versa (L/R=U/D)).

Could these 2 snags be related?

They won’t be related. Pdc fault is probably a faulty sensor.
