I have a 2014 model and the glass/plastic lens cover has cracked after an argument with a stationary car!

The lights themselves work so just need the outer lens.

Looking on google I can only see whole assembly replacement (cover and lights). It’s s this thingba sealed unit or can the cover only be replaced?

Thanks

Sealed. Ever since 2000 or thereabouts.

Can you not try and align the broken bits with some suction cups, then superglue it...worth a try until you source a replacement from breakers. Stick with the originals. Hella I guess.

Funny you should say that. I spent some time doing exactly that earlier (although not with suction cups) and all the parts are now aligned. I was thinking of just getting some clear plastic sticky protection film and using that just to provide water protection. But glue may also do the job.

Was hoping to change the car in the next six months so may just leave at that.

One question- would it be an MOT failure as it is, even with glue?

If the beam pattern is correct it should not fail MOT.
