I've been on this earth for a little over 35 years and always loved cars. All of my motors have had average power- but for once I was wanting to treat myself to something genuinely quick- the 335d!

Yes, it's a diesel. That did initially put me off, everyone seems to be getting rid of them- but I figured it'd be a while until the old diesel engine was going to disappear!

My first full day with it was yesterday. The burble for a diesel is incredible (for me anyway!)
I also overtook! I think for that in itself the 335d is worth every penny. The way it gathered pace and did the whole thing so safely put such a grin on my face!

MPG at the moment seems very good- over 300 bhp and it just sips fuel!

The only negative is spec was stingy! It's a silver car with red leather, heated seats and heated wheel, but for a car that price you'd expect slightly more spec.

I'll post regular updates for sure.

Xenons, LED yes- it's a 66 plate car but that is standard spec as far as I'm aware.

They pile the speed on really easy, I had that engine in a 640d but in the lighter 335d I bet it feels especially punchy. I've always preferred petrol overall(I don't like the noise of a diesel at idle/and the low rev clatter), but its a belting engine for a diesel for sure.

The performance/economy mix of that engine is hard to ignore. Enjoy it. smile
