Has anyone else needed steel discs and pads replacing under warranty due to warping. Car is my daily driver and seems to have done this after a single track outing.

I bet you any money it's pad deposits on the disks rather than warping. Give it a few hundred miles.

This.. A spirited drive, some hard braking and then time to let them cool down and normal braking afterwards should clear this...

Give it another good few drives and see if the brakes sort themselves...

If you do some research; you'll see that warped discs is genuinely a rare issue; they're not easy thugs to warp, if at all!

I cocked up at Croft with mine by not giving enough cool down on the brakes and ended up with the same problem. Schoolboy error from someone experienced in track days (but not with this car).

There was some horrendous judder afterwards, particularly from high speed.

The next weekend I was up to the West Coast of Scotland and by the time I arrived back in Leeds the brakes were fine.

Yup; did it myself years back in a previous charged DC5; too much hard braking around Anglesey and the drive back to Preston was awful; wobbled the whole way haha

A few days of normal driving with some hard, but safe braking and then letting the brakes cool down properly and they we're completely back to normal

This was with an AP BBK running DS2500 pads

I had suspected it could have been brake dust build up and had given them a good blast with high pressure air earlier in the week and done a reasonable amount of driving where, when safe I had took them thru some heat cycles. This had improved the issue but still had quite significant vibration thru pedal, steering wheel etc particularly between 50 - 30 braking with the whole car resonating.

Good news is car was due for a brake fluid change and BMW have put new pads and discs on under warranty so I am not going to complain too much.

Still, I haven't this issue with other M cars from numerous track days although the F80 is quite a bit heavier than the Z4MC and wouldn't expect this kind of thing.
