2016 5 Series Touring.
Discussion
Took my 2016 520d Touring in today for an oil change and also reported that when cold I was experiencing a slight “ Hic Up” , when I went to pick the car up I was informed the “Hic Up” was caused by A faulty EGR Valve which had been repaired under warranty.
The car is two years old with just over 9000 miles on the clock , it had the oil and filter replaced when one year old and has been run solely on Shell V Power Diesel since new.
Have any other owners of similar engined BMWs experiencied this failure.

Yes
I had the EGR replaced and/or software flashed under a “service enhancement” (read emissions irregularities)
2 months later my EGR failed - car was aweful to try and drive smoothly. If you went from tickling the throttle to anything other than extremely gentle press it kangarooed quite badly.
New EGR valve and software update and it’s 90% better. Can still have a little wobble from very light throttle but can be driven around it.
Car is a ‘16 320d B47 and would have had around 22-23k on the clock at the time.
