How to check for rust E36

for anyone that has one or has had one, what are the best ways to check the e36 for rust.

The easiest one being just to look under the car, a few places ive seen on the internet:

- remove the front wings and check there
- under the battery
- behind arch liners

is there any way to fully inspect the sill other than to remove the side skirt?

what other places are good to look, and are there any other parts that can be removed to exposed some hidden rust places.
