Hi could somebody ahead some light I’ve just bought a e46 320deisel and now the clutch is slipping. If I change the clutch would I have to do the flywheel as well? The car has done 160000 I’ve just serviced it and the engine still feels very powerful. Oils just like some advice thanks.

im not an expert on this but many people do say, while its out you may as well do it, I believe flywheels can give problems on their own on some models, personally I would change if it had to come out with that mileage, unless there is something in the service history to say that its been done?

Thanks Andy unfortunately I’m still waiting for the service history. But with that mileage that wouldn’t be the Original clutch?

It might be advisable to do the flywheel too; but only if it's damage/not up to par and really, that can only be sussed out when the gearbox is out etc

Get it to your mechanic and have them look it over and they'll be able to say there & then.

LUK usually come up well for clutches on these cars IIRC, Borg & Beck too, I think
