Hi, I have a 2014 BMW 335d xDrive Touring F30 which is currently stock but I'd like to add a little power to it without any causing any major problems. If anyone has any advice or ideas on what I could do I'd love to hear them. cheers...

Research engine re-mapping, find a respected re-mapping company local to you, visit them and they'll be able to tell you straight away what you'll be able to to do, how and at what cost

Or, you can do the research and look into the DIY engine re-mapping you can buy, it's all plug n play and lots of info on Google

IMO; if you're going to do this, ensure your braking system is in full fettle, as well as your tyres. You could maybe look to increase the braking capability (better discs, more aggressive pads and braided brake lines etc) and then into better, performance related tyres, unless your cars already fitted with them

Obviously you'll need to declare all to your insurer too wink

Do braided brake lines make much difference? Do they affect initial bite, or is it pedal travel too/instead? Is it really that useful on a road car? I can perhaps understand it for track use...but.

Better brake feel, better feedback and rarely need replacing whereas OEM ones do deteriorate etc

It's a personal choice, not everyone will want to do what everyone does, but IMO they're a worthwhile upgrade

Thank you all for your feedback, it is appreciated. Also, yes F31 is correct was a typo. Thanks.
