Hi all
Pathetic question but how do I change the time on my 3 series.
I've only had it a few weeks and expected it to update automatically.
can't find instructions in the book.
Cheers

Depending on the version it might well do it automatically, if the right box is ticked. Try menu\vehicle settings \ time, or something like that, using the iDrive controls.

In idrive on newer ones it’s menu , settings , then time and date.
Press down and then turn controller. Press down to confirm.

Don’t recall there being a box to check for automatic wink

Thanks guys
Unfortunately neither of those work.

All I get is a message to join the BMW ConnectedDrive thingy. Tried this and of course you need a password (which I set up when i got the car but now strangely ! forgotten) so set a new one and it wants me to join a club blah, blah, blah.

I will pop by the dealer and ask them.

Poverty spec Audi A6 updated itself overnight and it took me all over 5 seconds in my Gallardo.

Ho hum, there are worse things going on in the world at the moment.

66 reg 3er here and I was getting annoyed with mine being wrong.

Menu digging, auto box set to ticked, sorted.

But it did mention connected drive bks... sigh.
I can just imagine in 10yrs all this stuff will stop working and what was once a push/turn of a dial, or a few buttons, will be a few minutes arsing around in idrive.

I know vag dashboards use radio wave data (time/date info) to set themselves.

I imagine the G30 3er will need a biannual dealer visit for time changes hehe
