BMW E36 Style 32 Genuine or Replicas
Discussion
Seems to be lots of mixed opinions on what is a genuine or replica wheel.
I thought rule of thumb was genuine BMW alloys are marked on the inside of the spokes.
I’ve just removed a set of style 32 16” from my E36 (factory fitted) and found part number on the front around the bolts holes and nothing on the inside of the spokes.
I also have another E36 style 32 8j 17” ET47 offset without part numbers on the front, but on the inside around the hub (correct part numbers).
So what defines a genuine OEM or replica for a style 32?

Yeah too much really.
From what I can make out you have 2 kinds; one marked on the outside around the bolt holes, and one marked on inside around the hub. Either way I’m fairly happy these are OEM, as both wheels feel pretty light (using my hand for scales) ;-)
I’m comparison to my E39 turbines, and E87 style 141 are all stamped on the inside spoke.
