E46 pre painted wings.
Discussion
Evening to all, I'm just thinking about ordering some painted pattern part wings for my orient blue coupe.
Have any of you done this? My thoughts are because of the colour, my car won't have changed as much as say, a red car due to uv light etc.
I'm fairly sure it's not original paint on the wings due to lacquer peel, but they match the car perfectly.
So, anyone done this? The wings I'm looking at are coming from a body shop in Ireland and look to be well done.
Cheers,
Daz.

It's worth examining the arch lip edge and dusting some paint on if it's not got much on. If you can be bothered, paint some grease into the arch lip. Those top domed Torx bolts are a right bHave any of you done this? My thoughts are because of the colour, my car won't have changed as much as say, a red car due to uv light etc.

I'm not sure good football skills are going to help remove a BMW wing TBH!

Not sure how this would work on some of the paints. On my car, I bought a genuine wing on ebay cheap. I didn't want the car off the road, so asked a local body shop to paint it and accepted the chance on the paint match. The paint code for mine then has 3 slightly different shades under the one code ( 308 I think, met black ) which the body shop used 3 examples swatches to match. Painting it on just the code may have lead to a guess and a worse match than was otherwise possible.
