It seems BMW has introduced one of their Rolls Royce ideas to BMW:

Only £75 a set! The main dealer price for the standard badges is a crazy £25 each, £10 on eBay.

If they last longer than the standard ones that would be a bonus.

I think every badge on my f10 is showing some sign of corrosion. I would have thought a manufacturer would be extra careful around badges etc as it carries their brand etc but what do I know.

Are these even the right size for F series cars as on G series BMW changed the PCD and the new BMW centre caps are a lot smaller.

I saw these the other day when I was picking my car up from the dealer.

Cool idea but they won't last one winter.

I use chinese wheel caps now. £6 for 4 means I can replace them every 6 months/1 year without worrying.

There is a choice of sizes.

On a Rolls Royce I get it, there's a certain marque prestige (or for some: "Snob") value in having the wheel badges remain upright at all times - "On a Rolls Royce, one's wheel insignia should always be proudly visible!".

On a BMW though, it just seems a bit pointless to me (in the same way that puddle lights that illuminate as the car badge seem a bit pointless)

Hmm, looks like there was a bubble in the tech trickle-down pipeline, if this was the best they could do. Perhaps they're suffering a bit from having too many key R&D staff working on autonomous driving and electrification?

It just about sums up what the 'brand' stands for now tbh. Chavvy tat.
