E61 Halo/ angel eye replacement...LED or standard?

Evening all. Both halo or angel eye sidelihhts have gone on wifeys 57 plate E61. There appear to be a fair few led replacement items for sale on usual on line sources which appear cheaper than standard euro car parts replacement items. Anyone used the LED's? Oh and I'm not too worried about an error bong coming on as it already does that for a phantom number plate light gone which is very much illuminated. Great car though...drives magnificently and tight as a drum at 245,000 miles. And its only a 520d!!

I'd go LEDs; they always look better and more fitting IMO

Stick with decent 10w CREE CANBUS ones; eBay or Amazon and around the £30 mark; I've used these in previous E39s and my current 730D and they're spot on, no issues and look like they should have been there from factory
