Hi guys,

I'm back again and this time I've purchased my used M140i shadow with some spec - pro nav, Apple CarPlay, heated seats and reverse camera with 1070 miles, June 2018 for 25.5k.

I do have a question though, is 6.9mm of tread left on the pilot supersports normal for a car with just over 1k miles?

Cheers

Sounds fine. They would have had 8mm roughly when new.

That's only a few burnouts and donuts.

If the rest of the car looks clean I wouldn't worry about 1mm of tyre tread.

That doesn't seem too bad. Car is dirt cheap for the spec though so couldn't resist - BMW approved too so some kind of protection there

I shouldn’t think you need much ‘protection’ on a 1000 mile car that’s used 1mm of tread, but yeah, you’re pretty safe!

There is 25% discounts on a brand new M140i. The price looks fair for a lightly used car.

The car still has a manufacturer warranty. Don't expect being an AUC is going to give you any extra benefits.

Am I right in saying it's 25% if you go through BMW financial services? I bought through 3rd party finance as part of an employee scheme, works out £299.95 a month with 1k deposit on a 24 month PCP with 8k miles. BMW couldn't seem to come close with spec and that was with TRL

You can buy them cash for the same price.

£7900 for a M140i for 2 years is cheap. I doubt anyone else would be offering a GFV as high, or subsidising the deal, as much as it would need to be make those numbers add up.
