High Mileage AC Schnitzer

Hi,

Is there much interest in a 2002 high mileage 530D AC Schnitzer? Its done 293k miles and still runs really well. Little MOT left at the moment but looking to take it in for a test in next few weeks. Last year when it was being tested, the garage commented on how low the emissions were! Black leather interior is excellent but body has some age on it. Overall it looks tidy still and it drives really well with 45-50 mpg regular on a run.

Its my lad's car and as he's just replaced it with a new car and this is sitting on my drive. Knowing that nothing gets done unless Dad sorts it out, and not wanting to have my drive clogged up, I wondered if there is much call for such a high mileage car. He's done 25k miles in 2.5 years and not had any big problems with it. I'm just wondering whether there is any interest with such a big mileage?

If it’s a good car in good condition they’ll be a buyer. Mileage isn’t the be all and end all to those with knowledge.

I’ve recently changed a 2000 250k 330d for a 2002 140k 330d. The older one did better mpg and was faster! (Was rustier though).

Hi, thought I'd post an update. Didn't get MOT done in end due to time and thought that it might simply be broken for spares or suit a DIY'er so they could take it for their own MOT.

Advertised on Gumtree at 6.30pm Saturday night and the stupid offers and texts started to roll straightaway... In the end though it went to first person to view and drove away on Sunday night. I must have had 30-40 calls and texts on it so you were right that someone definitely wanted it.
