Car 1 2005 E87 1 Series 120D

Car 2 2007 E90 318D

Are these using the same engines... the first is an auto but should just be a case of switching flexiplate for flywheel and clutch if the same blocks...

Seller advises me they are the same but I'm unsure...

2005 will be an m47

2007 may be an m47 or an n47 as it’s change over year.
