Hi
I have a problem. I have a bmw x3 that already has a broken driver side key lock so manual opening doesnt work. The car key fob was only way to open and close the door.
It seems somehow the boot didnt shut properly however the car is locked with alarm led flashing. But if I pull handle on boot I hear a mechanism click as if its trying to open the boot. Its as if car boot didnt close properly. Pushing key fob it doesnt register at all open or close button. Nothing happens. I suspect because boot may not be closed properly. Not sure. The key is working as measured rfid signal and its being sent when I click button.

Any ideas how to open this as I cant use a manual key.
Do I need to drill out the boot lock or break a window to sort this out?

OK. I managed to open the car by using a wedge to open the door frame then a metal pole to pull the driver sides door handle.
Saved me the cost of a new window! Was a challenge with a dead battery and a broken key lock.
