Hello so I have a BMW 330i e90 2009 n53 doesn't have heated seats or electric and would really like to put them in. I was wondering if it was plug and play or I have to do some wiring and coding. If anyone has a forum link or external to help me out would be appreciated.

Thank you

I was looking to buy an E90 recently and was surprised at how few had electric seats. Perhaps it was an expensive option at the time?

Not sure it's covered in the link, but it's worth bearing in mind that the electric seats in their lowest position is higher than manual ones. Annoying if you're used to sitting low down - I find the electric seats make it feel like I'm sitting on the car rather than in it. I also have a 130i and am considering fitting either manual seats or the M Performance Ones due to the seat hight.

Also, the E90 came with both part electric and fully electric seats inc memory function. I have the part electric ones and find them annoying as to me the main benefit of electric seats is them returning to the relevant position when you use your 'personalised' key to open the car. Had this on my 5-series and it was a great feature on a family car that 2 people share.

ETA - a second thank you for the link, it's reminded me to look at replacing my part electric seats with memory ones.

Agree about the memory function, so useful when 2 drivers share a car. This is why I moved on to look at E61's instead as so few E91's had memory seats.

So I have a question, can I buy a e46 or e90 or newer car seats for my e90 or is wiring different in each one?
