It sounds like I have a failing rear wheel bearing as periodically the car will start making a loud rumbling noise and I can feel the car shaking. Almost as if a wheel is out of balance. I would have thought if a wheel bearing was going it would be bad the whole time. The noise/vibration would last for a few minutes and then stop by itself with everything totally normal.

I was also thinking possible rear caliper sticking but my pads are wearing evenly and I don't get heat from any of the wheels after a long drive.

Has anyone come across this?

I have had a similar problem and in my case it was the caliper sticking.
Have you noticed if this happens on specific stretches of roads ? Mine only did it on a couple of local roads and the rest of the time it was fine.
I would check the temperature on the disks as soon as possible after it happens so it does not have time to cool down.
