Thinking about getting my wheels dipped black and also the door handles. Looking for opinions?
Already had the windows front grill and eye lides done in black so thinking about doing the rest now. Also if anyone has a black 5 series thats done the wheels black, if you could post a photo that would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely not! IMHO you have gone too far already, but, each to their own.

Yea i know its not for everyone but i hate silver/ chrome trim on cars so the front grill was a must have for me. Not sure if the wheels will look better or worse wish i could see some photos. Think the door handles definitely need to be done that really annoys me.

The wheels would look better in gunmetal or all-silver rather than two-tone gloss black/silver.
Why would you want to dip your door handles?

They have a chrome strip on them and for some reason am not sure why but i just never liked silver or chrome trim on cars. Drives me crazy when some cars have that silver trim right round the windows lol

Up to you but remember you don’t see them most of the time and no one else will even notice.

Is it really worth the cost?

Not for me.

The door handles will probably cost £20/£30 and the wheels around £300 i dont mind the cost its just if i dont like the wheels it will be another £300 to get them back to normal. Think the car would look better all black. Been searching on google but cant find they wheels in all black on a black car anywhere ☹️

I can somewhat see the sense in the door handles, but for the love of god don’t do the wheels all black. They will lose all definition. Gunmetal or all silver, even the two tone diamond cut they come as standard is poor in my opinion. Those wheels remind me of the Style 172 Spiders that E60s had, and done all silver would look absolutely lethal

I think that looks well with the full black body trim, full tints etc, but I honestly think silver or gunmetal alloys would just give it more definition and bring out the nice shape of the car better. With black wheels on a blacked out yoke like that, it can become a bit of a bland blob when seen in anything but the right light.

I'd be tempted to go with bronze wheels on that car.

I get what you mean about it all kind of blending in starting to think gunmetal might be the best bet as i am not really sure about the wheels the way they are the now

Had a quick google there, these two E60s show an effect like I was trying to describe with the gunmetal spiders. Both done otherwise in a similar style to how you’ve turned out your G30
