Hi guys

the garage is 5x2 metres and both cars look as if they will be a tight fit.

E63 might be doable but not sure.

Thanks

E class might go in just.
Will you exit via the sunroof, they don't all have one!

So long as you’re not too powerfully built (to coin a phrase), the E63 at least (don’t know about the F-models) will drop the windows if you hold the lock/unlock button. This makes it much easier to get in, when in tight spaces, as there’s no window frame to get in the way.

It might make all the difference. A carpet offcut on the wall so you don’t open the car door onto the brick, and you’re all set.

Yeah im a skinny sod so might be ok? Is the length of the car ok to fit in and close the garage door?

I actually have 2 long pieces of yoga mats along both sides of the wall as my sister used to use the garage with her A3 and whacking the door......mad

Length-wise E63 is fine but widh-wise it's going to be a struggle..E86 maybe as every inch (less) matters? 😀

From the owners manual.

If you get one with folding mirrors, you should be OK. Depends how confident you are at judging ~5cm each side at walking pace in reverse. (The SMG on the M6 is piss-poor for that!)

Just be thankful you’re not trying it with one of these..

Forgot about the SMG box for parking the bloody thing! Not sure if all came with folding mirrors, can you manually adjust them anyway?

If anyone in Oxfordshire has an M6 or 6er and wants to come and do a test fit I would be grateful. Obviously some drink tokens in it for whomever smile

Is the garage door opening 2 metres, or is it the actual garage? If the latter, how are you planning to open the door and exit the car?

I measured the inside of the door frame and it was 210cm give or take 1-2cm. If the car went in there is maybe there is 15cm on each side to open the door to get out. Also I think maybe closing the garage door might catch the top of the boot lid as it will be way too tight at 5m long!

I'm going to look at some car-storage places who can keep the car on a battery conditioner near where I am instead, probably safer too.
