Hi all I’ve just bought a 2007 BMW X3 and was going to replace all the tyres but when looking at the sizes I think there on the wrong wheels. I’ve got 255/45/18 on the front and 235/50/18 on the back. Does that sound right or should them be the other way. Thanks

put you number plate into black circles website

that should give you the options for your car.

I would be worried about the 4 wheel drive system, assuming it has one if the wrong tyre sizes are fitted.

It's rare/almost never seen for a production road car to have wider front tires than rear.
Audi RS3 has the option of wider tyres on the front relative to the rear.

In this case, I would agree with you, wider tyres on the rear.

OP, check the tyre pressure sticker as that often gives the factory fit tyre sizes.

Might the previous owner have rotated front to back to even out wear and not realised the rears are larger (they should be)
