E89 Z4 30i 79k miles - which oil grade?

Hi

I do about 3-4k miles a year in this, so not many long journeys if that makes a difference. The car is due an oil service which I'll do myself - the question is which grade oil should I go for? I have read that the thinner oils are better for cold start protection - just looking at ECP and there are quite a few to choose from.

Any oil that meets BMW Longlife 04 standard.

Quite a difference in price between Euro Car Parts and the Millers stuff on ebay! That is listed a BMW Longlife-04 so could be a winner...

FWIW BMW used to use Castrol, but swapped to Shell a few years ago because Castrol wouldn't supply theirs in containers without the Castrol logo on, whereas Shell would!

But any oil meeting LL04 standards should be fine.
