Rear bumper respray - Individual paint

Third party insurance are stumping up for a rear bumper respray on the wifes X5.
Scheduled to be done by a local BMW dealer.

The car is Ruby black 'individual'.

Out of interest, would an individual paint job cost more that a std black ? if so how much more ?

What would you say the cost should be, if I paid for it myself ?
(on the basis that the 3rd party insurers are willing to give me just cash)

Unless it's a matt colour there should not be any difference - they just mix the colour using the colour code.

got the car back - looked alright until I managed to inspect under good natural light;
two areas where the clear coat has a milky white appearance...great...
another trip to the garage !
