After 16 months of 320D ownership, I’ve now upgraded to a 335D, so I feel slightly more worthy of making my first post on the BMW forum smile

The new car came with it’s original 2016 map. I put the latest Europe West map on today, and all seems well.

I’ve noticed the BMW download manager, also had Europe East available. If I put that on a USB stick, and into the car, will it replace the Europe West that i’ve Just installed ?

Or do you end up with Two switchable maps in the car ?

Why don’t you ask one of the “genius’ techy wizard guys at the BMW dealership?

I thought somebody might have already tried it on here.

I’ll do a bit more digging.

It’s an AUC. It’s come free, but i’ve no idea for how long.

I think the BMW ConnectDrive site, lists it as £79 per year. Or there’s a £99 package with maps and another Five services included.

I get the impression there’s various unofficial ways of getting the maps for free, but I haven’t investigated that option.
