X5 considerations
Discussion
Looking for a car for towing duties, I have a small caravan.
Chances upon a 2006 X5 in the private sales ad’s. Along for a viewing and the whole car looked tidy for a 2006 plate and 184000 miles up. Nice service history and drove very well.
Looking more closely, short MOT, broken drivers door handle, panarama roof stuck partially open, all of which the owner said he would get sorted. Then I noticed the steering wheel wasn’t cantered and the final nail was the rfl. The car scrapped into the highest banding by two months so £555 annually. Still looking.
Although I have owned a couple of BMW coupes and a saloon previously I was still pleasantly
surprised just how well the X5 drove.
