Why are G30s so cheap?
Discussion
They're brilliant cars as well. I borrowed a 520i and was amazed at how good it is - it pretty much makes the 7 Series redundant. As always, the list price is so close to the 3 Series. A look on the AUC site reveals that you can buy a very lightly used example under a year old for 25 grand. What a lovely thing for the money.

They’re quite bland, IMO. Very capable but somehow quite characterless and sterile. Especially the lower powered ones.
Good cruisers though, if that’s what you want.
Indeed. Even the 540i didn’t stir my soul, despite the engine being a gem (B58 sounds good, for a modern engine) and the tech being good. Shocking as a 340i touring is the same money and isn’t as new/well built.Good cruisers though, if that’s what you want.
As the previous poster said, if you’re doing motorway mileage it’s probably the way to
Go.
From a values perspective, it seems like the approved dealer control has been ended. Too much lease/PCP stuff coming back with no plan to shift it.
