Hi

I want to switch from run flat tyres to standard. The front 2 need changing now but the back are okay for a while longer. Should I change all 4 to standard now or am I okay to just change the front 2 and the back when they need replacing?

Thanks!

Might be but you’ll have an oddly balanced car.

I think you will be OK to mix them with a matching pair on each axle. I have been doing the same myself for the last 19k miles except that in my case I am going in the opposite direction, I'm changing from conventional to run-flat. I have a pair of Bridgestone runflats on the front and a pair of Michelin Energy (conventional) tyres on the rear with no ill effects.

Greg why do you want to change over? I have found Goodyear F1 assymetric 3 runflats as good as my normal Michelins I ran re crashiness, noise and general feeling.

Thanks for the advise. Changing due to poor ride mainly but also price. I’ve always replaced the tyres with the ones that came with it when I bought it - If I search for tyres using the reg, it always brings up something different. Any ideas why this is? I’ve guessed up until now that my alloys aren’t standard
