BMW E82 118D 2009 ( Frt brake squeal )
Discussion
Hello all , I’m new to the forum
I have had horibble brake squeal on my BMW , the rotors looked worn so I recently installed new discs and pads , brembo pads , Pagid rotors.
Also brake pad wear sensor.
It hasn’t changed anything , the squeal is still the same , it is when braking from low speed like 20 - 0mph.
It’s not there in the mornings for the first five presses or so then it’s there , if I do a few hard stops to get brakes warmer then it will go away but returns quickly when try to brake normal again.
Another thing I’ve noticed is if I drive in reverse then brake the squeal stops , then it’s another 5-10 presses and back again , I’ve checked the pins and piston and all seems to be ok, no broken seals or leaking of fluids.
I even tried a bit of cooper slip on the back of pads and some silicone lithium grease on the pins to lube back up but no change.
I’ve done pads and discs on other cars before and never had anything like this..?
It seems to be a well talked about subject across all the forums but I thought maybe with all I know about it and what I’ve tried it’s worth asking about, many thanks for any help in advance.

Update , so I managed to sort out all the brake squeal on my bimmer , new pads and disk at the frt and all the hardware( very important ) go with Brembo or textar, silicone grease and the cera tec brake paste I used.I have had horibble brake squeal on my BMW , the rotors looked worn so I recently installed new discs and pads , brembo pads , Pagid rotors.
